Reinforced Concrete Capping Beam
These reinforced concrete capping-beams were formed in-situ to tie in the concrete piles and stop displacement whilst the area was dug.
Stage of Works
- The piles were drilled and formed;
- We formed the capping-beam; this stopped the piles displacing when the area was dug. If the capping-beam was not formed the piles would laterally displace, causing cracking and severe structural damage to the piles;
- Area excavated;
- Retaining walls cast;
